New Elementary Grades K-6

All Lakeland Elementary Schools will hold registration for fall morning and afternoon kindergarten classes on Wednesday, May 16th, from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.  A child registering in kindergarten must be five (5) years of age on or before the first day of September.  A certified birth certificate, immunization records, and proof of residency (i.e. utility bill, property tax receipt, rent receipt/lease agreement, etc.) will be required at the time of registration.  Class assignments are based on a first come first serve bases and morning kindergarten sessions fill very quickly; therefore, parents need to be thinking whether they want a morning or afternoon session for their child.

Welcome to the Lakeland webpage for student/parent registration! As the user moves through this webpage, he/she has the option of printing all registration documents and completing them by hand, or actually typing in all information and then printing the completed documents. Parents still need to return the completed documents to their students' schools to finish the enrollment process.

Requirements for Students new to the District

Idaho Law requires proof of identity and birth date of all new students. The proof is required within thirty days of registration and must be by certified copy of the birth certificate or other reliable proof of a student's identity, such as a passport, visa, or other governmental documentation of the child’s identity. However, such other forms of identification must also be accompanied with an affidavit explaining the inability to produce a copy of the birth certificate.

Proof of residency is also required for students enrolling new to the district. Acceptable proof of residency may include any document that definitely establishes residency within the school district (i.e. utility bill, property tax receipt, etc.)

Entrance age

A child registering in kindergarten must be five (5) years of age on or before the first day of September.  A child enrolling in first grade must be six (6) years of age on or before the first day of September.  Proof of age will be required at the time of registration. (Any 5-year-old child who has completed a private or public out-of-state kindergarten for the required 450 hours but has not reached the school age requirement in Idaho shall be allowed to enter the first grade.)

To simplify the registration process, parents should plan to provide the required proof of birth date, identity, and residency at the time of registration.
